Adelaide Breed Bayrd Foundation Funds New Wheelchair Lift and Bathroom Renovation for Malden Public Library

Throughout spring 2018, renovations in the Malden Public Library were underway thanks to funds provided by the Adelaide Breed Bayrd Foundation. A new wheelchair lift has been added to the library as a means of accessing the Converse Memorial Building replacing the old one from 1994. The other major renovation was of the Malden Public Library restrooms on the library’s first floor. With an all new ceiling, tile floors, stall partitions, fixtures, countertops, lighting, and new paint, the restrooms have basically been completely redone. The Adelaide Breed Bayrd Foundation hopes to continue working with the public library and with other public use buildings in support of the community of Malden.
